The Big Reveal: The EEASY™ Lid Officially Launches
By the CCT® Team
We are proud to announce the official launch of the EEASY Lid as the first jar lid innovation in over 75 years. Our goal is to set a new standard for the jar lid and help brands reach more customers than ever before. Since our launch, the EEASY Lid is making waves among the biggest names in the packaging and grocery industries, along with consumers nationwide.
Right before the launch, the EEASY Lid was tested by Dr. Bruno Xavier, Ph.D., processing authority at the Cornell University Food Venture Center for safety and food stability. Dr. Xavier’s assessment showed that the EEASY Lid provides a stable seal and continued retention of visual vacuum and is applicable for acid, acidified and low water activity foods.
Through our studies, we’ve found that these lids provide a stable hermetic seal. By pressing the center of the EEASY Lid, users simply release the vacuumed air, making it easy to open – ultimately providing a better experience to consumers, as indicated by the data provided by the manufacturer.
Additionally, we have performed another series of safety tests on the EEASY Lid by shipping test products by air and ground domestically, to Canada and even France, as well as filling and shipping products at different elevations.
Following this announcement, we have big plans coming up for January 2020. The EEASY Lid will officially hit stores with help from our partners, Boyer’s Food Markets – a Pennsylvania-based supermarket chain – and Stello Foods, who will help produce and package the product. The EEASY Lid will be available to consumers in all 18 Boyer’s stores across the state. Additionally, we will begin producing CT versions of the EEASY Lid this December. We have also developed the world’s first aluminum lug, which it will begin using for EEASY Lids in 2020.
